Keeping Nuisance Animals Out

Here at Frontline Animal Removal, getting nuisance animals out of people’s homes is only half of the battle.  Trapping squirrels, raccoons and other critters is only a part of the job.

The second half of our mission is to provide solutions that:

1)  Keep any new animals out

2)  Restore the integrity of a home

3)  Look good and last

So many times, nuisance animals move into our homes because the construction has provided them an opportunity to do so.

Design problems, poor workmanship and water damage are high on the list of reasons animal problem came to be in the first place.  Nuisance wildlife is often just a symptom of a bigger problem.

Therefore, providing a solution for nuisance animal problems takes into account the damage they’ve caused and/or the structural issue they’ve exploited.

Frontline Animal Removal wants to be a part of real, long-term solutions.

Evaluating Nuisance Wildlife Solutions

After we look at a job and see what is going on, we then make recommendations on what we feel is the best way to solve a problem.

For clients, this conversation can be deflating if the issue is one of those “animal-as-symptom-of-underlying-problem” is discussed.

Ouch!   Who needs that kind of bad news?

The best solution to a wildlife problem  when there is a structural issue often comes with a budgetary surprise.

When that is the case, our job is to:

1) Explain what the issues are

2) Discuss a variety of options with budget in mind

3) Provide services as we are able

An Example of a Budget Friendly Squirrel Solution

Take for example the situation as seen and discussed in the following video.

At this house, Ryan was called because squirrels were in an attic.

He found squirrels and took care of them.

But, he also found a gap between the drip edge and gutter along this side of the house.  And, that gap is the primary reason why the squirrels took an interest in this house.

That gap needs to go if the client doesn’t want squirrels!

But, it’s all about options.

Maybe the homeowner only wants Ryan to remove the squirrels and put on a temporary patch.  That is probably the cheapest in the short term.

Maybe the homeowner wants the gutter taken down, the trim and fascia removed, and then have it all re-installed correctly.  That is the most expensive option and will provide the most security over the long haul.

Or, as in this case, the homeowner may select an offered middle-of-the-road approach.

What we realize is that there is no ONE right answer.

Our mission is to provide our customers options that they are comfortable with.  In doing so, we will honestly tell you the strengths and shortcomings of the available options as we see them.

Rest assured that the level of work we do will be done well.   Even if its only a temporary patch, it’ll be a good temporary patch.
