Customer’s Email is Very Helpful First Step
At the request of our clients, we offer consultations and inspections for all kinds of nuisance and pest animal concerns here in the Akron / Canton / Kent area. When we take on a job, we become partners in getting your home or property nuisance animal free.
But, we don’t just magically show up at people’s doors or call their phones out of the blue…of course, they have to have a need for our services and reach out to us first.
As your potential partners in nuisance and pest animal removal, we encourage you to keep the phone calls and emails coming. We always try to respond as quickly as possible (darned spam folders) and get a feel for your situation.
This week, we wanted to share an especially helpful email from a customer.
Our customer in this case, Andrew, sent us an email that went above and beyond.
It had a story, a picture, and a link to two videos he took of a bat in his ceiling. With all of this information, we were able to consult with him over the phone in a very informed manner. What he did was not necessary, BUT, it is extremely helpful.
Here’s what he wrote:
Hi,
I have somewhat of a unique bat problem. I have a bat living above my bedroom ceiling. The room is an addition, and has a flat roof, so there is no attic or access to the area. (I do have a small hole cut in the ceiling that I stuck a camera in to determine it was actually a bat and not another animal.)
I think I know where it is getting in, but I don’t know what to do about it. I’ve attached a picture showing where I think it’s getting in.
I had the problem in the spring, but then it seemed to go away in the summer. But now it’s back. This time I can actually hear it making chirping sounds. Last time I could only hear it moving around.
I’m sending an email just so I can send the picture, but feel free to either email or call me back at 330-XXX-XXXX.

Do you think this is something you could take care of this?
Thanks…Andrew
Multimedia of Bat Problem
Included here, Andrew sent us this picture of his house with a circle of where he believes the trouble area is.
For us a picture is really worth a thousand words. Believe it or not, just by looking at this picture we get a wealth of knowledge.
It really helps the description given in the email make sense. It also gives us the age of the home, its height, and a feel for its construction and maintenance status.
Aside from the picture of the house, we were given links to two videos Andrew put on Google Drive for us to look at. As he describes in the email, there is a small hole in the ceiling of the room he was able to put a camera up into and film a big brown bat crawling around. This confirmed his suspicions of a bat versus a flying squirrel or a mouse or a bird making the scratching noises. It does the same for us. This is very valuable evidence in solving the problem.
