Nuisance Wild Animals Only

Please don’t call Frontline Animal Removal if you are having a problem with cats, dogs, or wild animals that are not a nuisance to you.

If you remember these three items, your time and ours will be better managed.

Frontline Animal Removal is licensed by the State of Ohio to remove nuisance wild animals.  We are not authorized to solve issues with cats or dogsWe are not licensed wildlife rehabilitators.

The mammal species we mainly deal with are squirrels, raccoons, bats, groundhogs, skunks, opossums, moles & honeybees.  The birds we are authorized to remove only include pigeons, sparrows, and starlings.  We help remove these types of animals from your property and charge a fee for it.

We are a small, private company; not a public service agency.  We charge fees for our services.

If the animal issue you are dealing with is not one of the above species, we are most likely not the right phone call to make.

If you are looking to have an animal problem solved for free, we are most likely not the right phone call to make.

Calls about cats and dogs are expected to some degree, but we’d still like to curb the amount of calls as it leads some of the callers to be frustrated with us for not being able to help.  We’ll get voice mails from people giving us addresses where dogs are left outside or houses where there are dozens of cats.

Others have become irate when we let them know the services we offer come with a fee.

Honestly, we can’t make people read.  But our web site is clear on the issue.

Wildlife Removal vs. Wildlife Rehab

Nuisance wild animal removers (Frontline Animal Removal) is in the business of getting nuisance wild animal troubles at a particular property under control.  Often times the animals are trapped and taken away from the property.  Many, as Ohio law dictates, are euthanized.  We do not take sick or injured animals to a center where they are given medical care and supervision and then re-released.

Wildlife Rehabilitators are those groups of individuals/organizations that do aid sick and injured animals.  We are not rehabbers.

Wildlife Rehabilitators in Ohio operate under a distinct and more difficult to obtain license than do nuisance wildlife removers.  These people are the true saints of the wildlife world.  Frontline Animal Removal is not a rehabilitation organization.

In Ohio, a great place to start to learn more about wildlife rehabilitators is the OHIO WILDLIFE REHABILITATORS ASSOCIATION.

A visit to the Wildlife Rehabilitators site can help you find who in your area might be able to offer rehabilitation services.

Frontline Animal Removal is aware of the rehabilitation individuals/organizations in our area.  And, we use them on occasion.

For example, in the following video, Ryan shows a kingfisher that he was taking to the rehabber’s.  He was doing this because one of our larger clients called us and wanted us to take care of delivering the animal to the rehabber’s.  We like kingfishers, which are protected under federal migratory bird laws, but Frontline Animal Removal doesn’t make a habit out of getting involved with injured birds.  Ryan discusses this special case and makes the distinction between rehabber/remover that we’ve been attempting to make in this post.
