Trapping the Odd Looking Star-Nosed Mole
The Star-Nosed mole may be one of the ugliest mammals alive, but truly is an amazing animal. Like most moles it can do considerable damage to a lawn. However there are some fascinating facts about this particular mole. The appendages on the end of this mole’s nose allows it to find and eat food up to 14 times faster than other types of moles. The Star-Nosed mole is a semi-aquatic mammal, and has an underwater sense of smell thanks to its star nose. It is just as happy swimming in the water as it is digging in your yard. If your lawn has mole damage, and your yard is also exceptionally wet and soggy, the mole that is most likely the culprit is a Star-Nosed mole.
