Are the Animals all Gone?

We are often asked, “When do you know the job is finished?”.

That’s a great question and one which Ryan discusses here today.

Communication is Key

A typical nuisance animal removal job goes like this:

We get contacted when a customer hears or sees signs of a nuisance animal.

When we arrive, we look for signs of the animals too. We try to determine entrances/exits, routes of travel, and extent of the situation.

Based on this information, we put a plan in place to remove or exclude the animals and make sure the situation is resolved.

There are standard methods.  But, because we’re dealing with animals, it’s not an exact science.

Knowing the job is complete has two components:

  1. Animals are no longer being captured.  The traps are empty.
  2. The homeowner is no longer seeing, hearing, etc. any signs of the nuisance animal.

So when customers ask when we’ll know the job is finished, its important that we and the customer have communicated  our findings.

Assuming no more animals are being caught and no signs of animals are discovered by either trapper or homeowner, the job is “complete”.
