Does Your Animal Repair Work Come with a Guarantee/Warranty?

If you are like us, when you pay good money for a product or service you expect these expenditures to bring a peace of mind.

Whether it be on a new car, a refrigerator, or nuisance animal repair work- it’s nice to have some sort of warranty/guarantee that can be relied upon in the event of a problem.

Today’s blog post discusses our general warranty/guarantee related to the repair jobs we do for clients.

Nuisance Animal Repair Warranties

In order to provide peace of mind, we warranty the permanent/recommended repair work we do for one year.

This means that if we come out, ensure the animals are out, and make a recommended repair- we will be out, free of charge, and resolve the issue if the problem recurs at our repair spot up to one year from the repair date.

We give this warranty/guarantee on services like:

We do very little warranty work, BUT, occasionally, there is an issue.  When a slip-up occurs, we have no problems owning up to it and making it right.  If you hire us and later find yourself in this situation, don’t fret.  Just give us a call and tell us about it. Communication is key.

In the video below, Ryan talks some warranty work he recently did for the pesky flying squirrel.

What the Warranty Doesn’t Cover

You’ll notice that above, the word recommended is italicized in a couple of places.

Homeowners not making the recommended repairs is the biggest issue we face in guaranteeing our work.  Therefore, we try to be upfront about this as well.

Often, a recommended/permanent solution that we would warranty for squirrels might not fit the budget at the time of animal removal for a homeowner.  Or, they choose to have another contractor do some repair work.

In these situations, they’ll have us do some TEMPORARY patch job that is not the best/permanent solution.

These temporary fixes usually work for a while especially when removal is involved and sometimes the homeowner doesn’t follow up in a timely fashion with the recommended repair.

If the squirrels or raccoons come back and are again a problem, we look at it as a new problem.  We can’t provide any warranty (no charge) work in these instances.

To illustrate this point, here is another video.  We were called back to a residence because squirrels had gotten in AGAIN- in the area where Ryan had installed a temporary patch.  After one group of squirrels was removed, the temporary patch was installed and it was clearly communicated to the homeowner that there was no guarantee squirrels would not return.  This time, the squirrels chewed a new hole right next to the temporary patch. This time, the homeowner states there is a contractor already hired to do the full fix.

Sensitive to the fact that consumers want and need assurances, we offer one year warranties on a lot of the repair work we do.

If you have an animal issue, please call us and ask us about our warranty.  Also, when Ryan is at the the job, he’ll clearly let you know what is and isn’t warrantied.  Again, it’s all about communication.  Let’s communicate!

Many animal issues happen because of structural deficiencies.  Often, some needed repair/maintenance has been neglected too long and the animals have seized the opportunity.

The solution in these cases is animal removal AND a best practice repair.  If this is the route chosen, we will guarantee our repair work.  If a more temporary solution is decided upon, it’s OK with us: just be aware that problems can reoccur for which we can’t warranty.
