Inspection for Nuisance Wildlife Repair & Removal

At Frontline Animal Removal, we understand that each wildlife intrusion presents unique challenges.

While our team excels at trapping and removing wildlife and making high quality repairs, there are instances where the lasting solution extends beyond our scope.

The good news for our customers is that when we find big issues, we will report these to you after an inspection.  We’ll usually be able to remove the animals in the short-term and come up with a temporary fix/exclusion.   The bad news for some customers is that we’ve found issues that are pretty large in scope and in need of specialized contractors.

In this blog post, we’ll delve into two recent, real-life examples where specialized contractors are needed to address larger issues: a damaged roof and a deteriorating chimney.

The Aging Roof: a Nuisance Wildlife Opportunity

Ryan was on a roof recently that had a bunch of issues.  At this building he encountered a large, old, and severely damaged roof that had become a haven for raccoons. While able to successfully trap the current intruders and make temporary repairs to a vent they were using, it is apparent that the roof’s overall condition is the root of the problem.

The roof’s age and extensive damage raised concerns about its ability to withstand the elements and prevent future wildlife intrusions. In such situations, we believe in providing honest assessments to our clients. We informed the property owner that without a comprehensive solution, the nuisance wildlife issues were likely to persist. A skilled roofing contractor was recommended to address the underlying problem by replacing the deteriorating roof.

The Deteriorating Chimney: A Wildlife Opportunity

The second recent example involves a chimney that has lost a significant amount of mortar, creating numerous small gaps that allows small animals to enter.

While our team is adept at making various repairs, the extensive mortar loss in this case requires the expertise of a skilled mason.

Rather than attempting a temporary fix that might not stand the test of time, we advised the property owner to seek the services of a professional mason who could restore the chimney to its former strength. We understand the importance of finding the right specialist for each job, ensuring a long-lasting and effective solution to wildlife intrusion.
